The vibe was really nice. This was my first time ever dancing, but Hongsie managed to break the steps down very well for everyone to understand. At the end of the evening there was time for some free dancing where you could really immerse into the music and the dance. I was quite nervous for this workshop, but really had a blast. Would definitely recommend.

Passion for forró

Our mission:
Bring the joy of forró to Nijmegen!

Forró is not just just a dance – it’s so much more than that!
The lively music, the wonderful community where people you just met quickly turn into friends, the togetherness in the close embrace, and the contagious joy of the dancing couples around you…

We aim to organize regular opportunities for getting together. This can be with an established forró teacher, DJ, or live band either from The Netherlands, other places in Europe, or even straight from Brazil. On other occasions, it can be a small group of people getting together to practice some steps in someone’s living room or in a park.

We’re passionate about spreading our love for forró, and we love connecting to like-minded people through the dance AND the music. We hope to see you soon on the dance floor somewhere in Nijmegen!!
